Charity Masquerade Ball

Thank you to those who supported our Masquerade Ball on July 16th 2016.

We have be contacted the three charities – each received a donation of $1,100 (a total of $3,300).  

Our Charity Masquerade Ball and Silent Auction is on July 16th at the Barn Steakhouse from 6.15pm.


Our main entertainment for the night are Calamari for Breakfast, a local band that have been playing for more than 25 years. They are predominately a cover band (with a difference) with eclectic musical styles & taste including folk, folk rock, reggae, celtic, jazz, and rock. The band members are Judith Kelly, (vocals, sax, flute, whistle, mandolin, acoustic guitar, piano accordion, keyboards, percussion),  Martin Stephenson, (vocals, acoustic guitar, drum programming, harmonica, percussion) Jim Kimber, (violin, vocals, percussion) and Michael Bakker, (bass, vocals, acoustic guitar, mandolin, didj). Lakes Rotary chose three charities to benefit from the Masquerade Ball and Silent Auction.

This is the leading community-funded organisation in Australia raising money for research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer. In 2016 NBCF has committed over $12 million to fund more than 30 research projects that will contribute towards their goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.

Foodbank is by far, the largest hunger relief organisation in South Australia. Last year alone, Foodbank South Australia provided enough food for more than 3,400,000 meals. Foodbank South Australia is a non-denominational community supported, non-profit organisation which relies on the support of a large network of dedicated people who have a commitment to fulfilling the vision of a South Australia without hunger.
